Peloton bikes are one of the most unique ways to train your body and lose weight. Unlike a traditional spin bike, Peloton ones are designed to provide their users with several advanced features such as live workouts with instructors to keep you motivated and push your body to its limit. It’s great if you’re looking for an intense workout that burns calories, builds core muscles, tones legs, and improves your cardio. With that being said, does Planet Fitness have Peloton bikes?
Unfortunately, none of Planet Fitness’ locations have Peloton bikes since they’re expensive and require a monthly subscription to access all features.
In this article, we’ll talk about the main reasons why Planet Fitness doesn’t have Peloton bikes and some of the alternatives that you can try.

Does Planet Fitness Have Peloton Bikes?
With the impressive amount of free weights, gym equipment, cable machines, workouts, and training classes that Planet Fitness offers to their members, it’s probably a logical conclusion to think that they’d have Peloton bikes available.
Well, you’re out of luck since not a single Planet fitness location has them. I personally used to own a gym membership with them and I’ve never seen one. I even contacted several other locations just to verify their availability but with no positive results.
One of their staff even said that I won’t probably find one in any Planet Fitness location and to be fair, that’s what I expected.
If you’re wondering why that’s the case, there are two main reasons:
First of all, in order to be successful as a business, you need to maximize your profitability while keeping costs to a minimum.
Planet Fitness has been doing just that ever since its establishment back in 1992 and it’s the main reason why they’ve been doing extremely well and achieving great numbers for several years now.
With that being said, Peloton bikes are quite expensive. Their most basic bike costs almost $1,500 as opposed to a normal spin bike which costs between $300 and $600 on average. So buying several of those in different locations will probably cost the company a fortune.
In addition to that, not only is the price hefty, but it also requires a monthly subscription of $44 in order to access the bike’s full features.
Having a piece of fitness equipment that requires a monthly subscription at a gym is probably not a very smart move business-wise, especially since multiple people will be using the same machine and these subscriptions come with personal profiles. Members could literally hop on the machine and delete all data. Supervising everything and handling these profiles will be quite annoying.
What’s the Alternative?
So far we established that not a single Planet Fitness location has Peloton bikes, in this case, what can you do as an alternative?
Check Other Gyms
Even though Planet Fitness doesn’t offer this service, that doesn’t mean that other gyms will do the same, there are some that probably have them. The best way to find out is to contact all gyms next to you and ask them specifically for this service.
Get your own One
I know what you’re thinking, “But they’re so expensive and they require a monthly subscription too!”. Well, if you’re serious about taking your training or weight loss journey to the next level, count this purchase as a long-term investment for your own personal goals.
This modern machine connects you to hundreds of live custom workouts with instructors keeping you motivated and pushed to your limits and provides you with detailed metrics about your performance and a leaderboard to challenge yourself even more.
Use Other Types of Bikes
Who said that Peloton bikes are the only way to train your legs or to lose weight? On the contrary, there are other several methods that allow you to do the same things and are available at the majority of gyms.
These methods include spin bikes, recumbent bikes, Stairmasters, and so on.
Conclusion:
If you’re serious about losing weight or taking your leg training to the next level, then I highly recommend buying a Peloton bike for your home. Not only will you get access to thousands of workouts with a click of a button, but you’ll also get the ability to train whenever you want without worrying about others messing up your data.
After all, Peloton bikes were made specifically for home training.
